The Global Childhoods group brings together researchers from a range of different perspectives whose research methodology and conceptual framework primarily focuses on children in the global south in order to facilitate networking and collaboration in both the short and long terms.

The group meets monthly in Sheffield. In addition to these meetings another component of this network is the establishment of a mailing list which seeks to facilitate networking and collaboration amongst global childhood studies researchers around the world. The mailing enables participants to share information about events and publications, highlight their research achievements and explore opportunities for collaboration in research and other projects. This mailing list now has over 230 subscribers.
